Do Opposites Attract?

A lot of people say that opposites attract, and that may be true- for a short time. Marriage takes compromise, dedication, loyalty, and more importantly love. Don't be confused, love is not that feeling of butterflies in your stomach when you see each other like when you first met. That is just lust. Love is being able to put each others needs before your own. Being able to care for someone else, as you do yourself. And sometimes even more. See, the opposites that "attracted" you when you met will change over the years. And you will have to get to know each other over and over again. In 5 or 10 years and beyond, you will most likely have a different opinions, different favorite colors and foods you like to eat, different ways of wanting to live life, different hobbies etc. So get to know each other as often as possible. And regardless of your differences, find your similarities and likes. Whether you like to hike, do puzzles, play a sport etc. Do it together.
